Privacy

Shiloh Road has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website.

Automatic Collection of Information
Like most Web servers, ours automatically collects each visitor’s IP address. We use this information to create statistical reports about visitors to our site. We do not share this information with other parties except in aggregate (number of page views per month, number of visitors per month, etc.).

When you link to our site through a banner ad or other link we sponsor on another website, we store your IP address and an indicator of where you came from so that we can compensate the referring site or verify the accuracy of the bill we receive from that site. In this case we only use your IP address for the purpose of eliminating duplicate visits from these statistics. We also store the identity of the referring site with our record of any order you place during that visit so that we can determine the effectiveness of our advertising.

We may store this information on servers owned by third parties who provide Web traffic analysis services.

We do not collect any other information on what sites you’ve visited on the Web or even what pages you have viewed within our own site except what is mentioned above.

Our site uses “cookies” to store temporary information during your visit to our site. Cookies are small files created on your computer by your browser. The cookie we store contains an identifier we use to recognize you as you move from page to page or place an order at our site. We store information (such as your shopping cart) in a database on our server during your visit, then use the identifier in your cookie to retrieve that information as you move from page to page.

The identifier we store is a random sequence of characters and contains no personal information about you (such as your credit card number or name). It cannot be accessed by other sites, nor can our site access cookies created by other sites you visit.

Voluntarily Provided Information

Our site allows customers to purchase products and services from us. We collect visitor’s contact information (like their email address) and financial information (like their account or credit card numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about our company to our customers. The customer’s contact information is also used to get in touch with the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the user for products and services. Unique identifiers (like customer identification numbers) are collected from website visitors to verify the user’s identity and for use as account numbers in our record system.

We may be required by the owners of some of our products to provide your contact information to them. We do this when we are fulfilling orders for those products on their behalf. We do not share your financial information (like your account or credit card numbers).

Unless you request otherwise within your communication with us, we may extract brief excerpts from complimentary emails or letters you send us for use on our “testimonials” page or in advertising. If used, these quotes will be edited to reduce the likelihood that they could be connected to you personally. We may choose to identify quotes using your initials or first name, but not your entire name. In order to guarantee the authenticity and sincerity of such quotes, we do not compensate anyone for the use of this material. You may ask us to remove an attributed quote from our website or from future advertisements at any time, and we will comply with your request as soon as practicable.

Information Collected by Our Applications

Some of our applications contain facilities by which you can log into your personal account on our website or one of our third-party vendors sites. Those apps collect your customer ID, email address, and your account password for the purpose of authenticating you to our site or one of our third-party vendor’s sites and giving you access to products and services you’ve purchased.

Some of our applications allow you to register your ownership of the app by entering your name, address, and other personal information. This information is communicated to our server or one of our third-party vendor’s servers for the purpose of creating an account at our site so that you can have access to the products and services you’ve purchased from us.

Our applications may store your personal information on your device so that you don’t have to enter it each time you access your account.

Some of our applications provide a shopping experience by which you can add additional content to the application from within the app. This functionality may be provided by a third party, in which case the third party’s privacy policy will apply. When this functionality is provided by our own web servers, our website privacy policy, described on this page, will apply.

Some of our applications allow you to create notes, highlights, bookmarks and other data to personalize your experience with the application. These can be uploaded to our server or one of our third-party vendor’s servers for backup or for synchronization with our applications running on other devices.

We sometimes enter into agreements with other developers to create applications that are compatible with ours. One of the features of those applications is that they give you access to your download account and your personalized data. These apps will collect similar information as described above in order to give you access to your account on our server or one of our third-party vendor’s servers.

You can choose not to use the features of our apps or of third-party apps that store your personalized data on our server. You can ask us to remove your personalized data at any time by contacting us through any of the methods described on our website.

Third Parties

This site and our apps may contain links to other sites, and we may purchase advertising on sites we think potential customers might visit. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.

We market products developed by third parties, and use third parties to sell our own products. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these parties.

Spam and Telemarketing

In general, we do not send email to anyone who has not purchased or downloaded a product from us or who has not signed up for our email list.

We may send advertisements to lists of people who have signed up for “opt-in” email lists. These lists collect addresses of individuals who have specifically requested information about products like ours. We may also cooperate with third parties to advertise our products to people who have requested such information from them.

If you have purchased a product from us or signed up to be on our email list we will send you new product announcements, special offers, news and other information. We do email campaigns regularly, but not every customer is included in every email campaign so it is unlikely you’ll receive email that frequently from us.

We use your phone number only to contact you in the event of billing problems or to reach you if you request technical support or customer service. We will not call you or cause you to be called for any other purpose. Specifically, we will not call you for the purpose of selling you anything. We will neither sell nor rent your phone number to third parties for any purpose whatsoever.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. In particular, we do not store your credit card number, expiration date, card security code, or other sensitive personal financial data at all, neither electronically nor physically. Access to all other customer data is protected by multiple layers of security protocols, and procedures are in place to limit access to this information to only those individuals in our company who have a bona fide business need.
